Whispers traveled like thunder through both the choirs and legions, and even though the tones were different the message was exactly the same – it had been found. The end could now begin.
Set in an alternate but familiar world, Black and White pits two players against each other as they try to complete their agenda, namely to either prevent or begin the apocalypse.
In the game, players morally battle for the control of five key figures in the end time by either praising their virtues or exploiting their vices, while fighting to find and recover a holy artifact that holds the key to opening the first seal and bring the world to its end. This is achieved through the play of cards that affect either specific characters or less powerful cards that can target any character. At the end of each round of play, the first player rolls to take control of characters. This roll's success is determined through comparison to the morality score of each character. The player who takes control of each character moves it, trying to pick up and deliver the artifact to that player's own base.
